At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

We are looking for a process driver for the administrative process unit in Gothenburg.

We are seeking someone who is a skilled lawyer with experience in qualified legal work. With us, you will work on current societal issues influenced by what is happening in our surroundings. Issues that concern and engage. We offer an exciting legal environment characterized by a large and changing legal area with complex legislation. The administrative process unit handles appeals from individuals who have been denied their application for residence permits and examines whether there are obstacles to enforcing a decision on expulsion or deportation. The unit represents the Migration Agency in negotiations at the Migration Court in Gothenburg and contributes to the overall legal quality of the Migration Agency.

What does a process driver do?
As a process driver, your main task is to represent the Migration Agency in court reviews of immigration cases by writing statements and participating in oral hearings. You prepare by familiarizing yourself with the case, both legally and by finding other relevant information that may affect the outcome of the case. During oral hearings, you represent the agency's interests and quickly assess all information presented during the hearing.

In your role, you act as a decision-maker in urgent cases regarding enforcement obstacles that come to the unit. Your work includes reviewing the Police Authority's decisions on expulsion and re-entry bans. You will also work on conducting certain types of investigations in cases, for example regarding individuals who have been granted a new review, and participate in the administrative process's on-call operations. The unit also handles cases concerning individuals who have been deported due to crime. The work pace is sometimes intense, and you often need to make decisions under time pressure.

We work with a team-based approach in a dynamic legal environment where you participate in legal discussions with your colleagues in the unit and contribute to the overall legal quality of the agency. We also offer the possibility of partial remote work.

Who are you?
As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and place great importance on achieving set goals. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You see the bigger picture and take into account the broader perspective. You understand your role but prioritize the best interests of the entire organization in your actions and decisions. You take responsibility for your tasks, structure your approach, and drive your processes forward. You have good analytical skills and solve complex problems by breaking them down into components. You have strong communication skills, listen, and are receptive to the other party and adapt to the situation.
